1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Independent Flooring Inspectors website (flooring.report) and any inspection or reporting services we provide. By using the site or instructing us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
2. Our services
We provide independent flooring inspections and written reports. Our reports present our independent professional opinion based on the evidence observed during the inspection. We are not a court, an arbitrator or an Ombudsman.
3. Quotes and instructions
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A binding contract is formed when you confirm acceptance of a written quote in writing (including email or via our client portal). Fees, scope and turnaround are as set out in the accepted quote.
4. Payment
Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed. Late payment interest may be charged in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel an instructed inspection up to 48 hours before the scheduled visit without charge. Cancellations within 48 hours, or failure to provide site access on the scheduled day, may incur a re-attendance fee equal to the agreed visit fee.
6. Independence and use of reports
Our reports are independent and impartial. They are prepared for the named instructing party and the dispute identified at the time of instruction. Reports may be shared with relevant third parties (retailer, manufacturer, court, Ombudsman, insurer) for that dispute. Wider publication or commercial use requires our prior written consent.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability for any matter arising out of or in connection with our services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant instruction. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this website and the structure of our reports remain our property. On full payment of our fees you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the report for the dispute it was prepared for.
9. Complaints
We aim to provide a high-quality service. If you have a complaint, please email info@flooring.report and we will respond within 10 working days.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
